i jus wish i cud sleep!!! i can get over to sleep fine but 2 or 3 hrs later thats me awake t*** n turning all night with achy hips  am 26 wks gone but am huge so its so uncomfy. tho in answer to yer question i sleep on my left when i do manage it.

A:

i too read somewhere that you should lay on your left and thats more comfy for me too, i got one of those preg pillows £40, they aint as good as they look but do help a little if like me you find it uncomfy to keep legs too close together... oo errr thats what got me in this mess!!!!

A:

towards the end i sleep on my left as my babies like to go back to back and sleeping on your left is supposed to prevent it. never has worked for me though.

i used to sleep on my left side in the earlier stages of pregnancy as all the books and sites said to. but the later it got on my pregnancy, i was finding i couldnt get off to sleep on my left side as for some reason it gave me heartburn and sumtimes made my chest and throat make gurgly noises?! dont ask me what thats all about. so i slept on my right side. now...im 38 weeks and i sleep on left and right because the weight of the baby crushes my hips and i cant stay in one position too long. the joys of pregnancy.

I sleep on my left side.I was told it increases the blood to the baby if you lie on your left side.

I also use a long pillow,i brought it from mothercare online cos it was on offer and it can be used after the delivery for breast feeding support and propping the bab up when she is older ect....if they are still on offer they are about £17.
