Darlington memorial hospital?

Edit By:Parenting Tips
Q:

Hello!

I had my daughter at Darlington Memorial back in 2006 and I thought that the midwives there were great! I had a really positive experience and felt like they were all really supportive and helpful - one midwife even stayed after her shift had finished because she wanted to see my baby being born as she had been with me for a few hours already which I thought was really nice! I'll be going back to Darlington to have my second baby in Sep!

HI YEAH YOU CAN HAVE TWO PEOPLE WITH YOU AT DARLO, I HAD MY DS THERE 3 YEARS AGO, WILL HAVE THIS BUBS THERE AND GET TRANSFERRED BACK TO BISH IF I HAVE TO STAY IN OVER NIGHT AGAIN, AS MIDWIFES WERE FAR TOO BUSY AT DARLO LAST TIME

A:

is it right its ok to have two people with you when at darlington?

A:

i was at bishop but moved to durham hospital with it being my first and them being a low risk centre. i have had no problems with durham nice and clean etc from what i have seen so far... my friend had hers in darlington and they were no bother ...

I'm at durham at the moment but considering swapping to darlington as i've had a bit of a bad expreience at durham. My cousin had hers at darlington and said they were fine but then she had to stay in as the little one wasn't well and she said they weren't so good after that.

I have heard Bishop is great and would hopefully have most appointments there and just deliver at Darlington as they had me under consultant care but swapped me back to midwife care. not sure what to do!!!

hi janey i had my baby nearly 7 weeks ago, when are you due ,i think the reason darlo are not much good is because everyone wants to go there even if there not high risk,i must say though i had a excellent consultant .
