aw i have toothache wat happens now
mrsbebop... I need to have a wisdom tooth removed think. Its been trying to come through for about 2 years its a lower back one and it is almost thru, but it flares up now and again and b'cos im pregnant it has been hurting more than usual. I am trying medicated mouthwash but that makes my sickness worse lol, i would have it removed if i had too, but when i last spoke to my dentist he said its quite a big op in hossie for the lower ones, and obviously cos im preg i cant have a general which is what i'd want, so guess i'll have to wait and see if it pops thru ok.... :-(
Hi hun, i'm a dental nurse. your fine to have local (tooth numbed) when you are pregnant. Amalgam fillings (metal/mercury ones) cant be placed when your pg but the old ones can be drilled out and then you can have a temp filling to see you through till the babies born. if it is something like an abcess you'll get antibiotics and can have a root filling when your pg aswell. try not too worry, but you need to get it sorted. Only thing that might be a problem is if your in pain you cant have an xray. they say its safe after 12 weeks but i wouldnt do it at all unless it was a absolute must. hope you get it sorted hun.x
hi hun i had this problem last week. the only difference was my tooth actually crumbled hun.
But my dentist knows how scared i am and she did a filling without needles and without drilling! she just popped it in and its fine hun. you may just have an absis so may just need antibiotics hunxxx
boo hoo as if things weren't bad enough. now 2nite i've took this. what happens can u still have ur mouth frozen. i read summit as well bout mercury fillings im petrified and dont go unless i really have 2 wish i know is bad but im such a big baby. but cant stand this will have to ring 2moro 2 c if i can get an appointment. sniff sniff
