calpol and teething

Edit By:Parenting Tips
Q:

ashton and parsons seem to help my little one you only give half a paket at a time but you can give every hour if needed

A:

have you tried powders!! not sure if they work but distract lo and seem to settle him!!!!

also calprofen is suppose to be better for teething!

I find Teetha quite useful to take the edge of the really grizzly times and it's great cause it's herbal.  I use calpol v. occassionally if it's becoming really bad.  My DS has just cut his first tooth and I've been up 4-5 times overnight for the last week, I'm hoping the rest won't be so dramatic!

I'm gonna try alternating my teething box of tricks, as last PP suggested, cheers! x

I give my lo calpol when she is really suffering with her teething and like you don't give it more than once a day but still don't like giving it. I usually try calgel/dettinox/bonjela first and quite often she settles from that alone, then I can save the calpol for if the above don't work and she is still in pain. I have found that switching between the above gels every couple of days seems to work better than using one all the time. hth

lo been teething since she was 11wks, now 19wks and stil no teeth, she is dibbling like crazy and goes through a stage most evenings of screaming, i usualy end up giving her calpol s it seems to work and i hate to see her in pain, but feel like i give it to her so often, nbut its not like she has it every 4hr most days, its usualy just once, this ok?
