I have co slept with both my los. DS is still in with me at 20mths{and dd comes in some nights and she is 5} I have got lots of sleep and she has dd,ds and dp. had the same thing, you do need to keep feeding through the agony, will take couple of days, savoy cabbage is best, alsp hand express a tiny bit after each feed, rub it on nipple and air dry as long as possible. try to massage breast gently as lo feeds, lots of warmth, hot baths will help, ... more >>

my lo has had a dummy since he was 4 days old and never got confused - he also has a bottle of ebm every now and then and he can easily switch during the same session from bottle to breast and viceversa!!! not sure what all the scare about dummies damaging bf come ... more >>

16 weeks - ish - can be a big growth spurt - have you tried offering the same boob for 2 succcessive feeds (if every 2 hours) as this can fill them up a bit more. I remember with DS, he fed hourly in the day and woke every 2.5 hours at night, for over 7 days at 16 weeks and at 17 weeks ... more >>
Hi hon, my lo has bad silent reflux (shes not sick, just acid comes up and then goes back down) and i have been told by my paediatrician that i am not to stop bf lol. My dd1 will 5 in 2 weeks and I exclusively bf her for 16 weeks, I got my 1st period when she was just over 6 months old. Get a proper measurement at around 37 weeks they should take into account the need for expansion. I bought a 2 pack from marks to do me the first couple of weeks...i think they were £20 for the 2. I had this problem too and my breastfeeding councillor said it is too often put down to colic. She said that in the evening your milk is very thin and slow-flowing and so the baby doesnt like it and doesnt feel as full and so gets very frustrated.
